Crikey
loads of cars you can get one out of if you looking for another 2nd hand one. My old tub had a coupe 20vt pump, pretty sure MG-F pump fits as well. To be fair though a brand spanker is under £100.

Give these guys a ring, they were very knowledgeable on the technical stuff, flow-rates etc. it was a long time ago though when i rang them.

i use a 255 welbro pump. can be picked up for well under 100 and is probably the best you will get. can pump fuel faster then any fiat will be able to use.

when i fitted mine and bleed the system. the old pump used to pump fuel out the pipe as a nice little stream about 6 inchs long... when i bled the 255 it shot fuel at least 10 foot into the air... which was scary:rolleyes:

here is one at a good price http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Uprated-High-...CarParts_SM&hash=item563c2dbeeb#ht_1389wt_908

worth getting cos it comes with the wire as these pumps have a proper connector, not just spades like fiat pumps.

only thing is, its about 2mm wider so its a tight fit in the rubber holder and on mine i had to trim some of the rubber holder so the pump sits a little lower as the pickup on the pump is not as long as fiats

also be sure to get the high pressure one not the low pressure one.
its the same pump but the internal bypass is set lower or something so wontwork with fuel injection

found one even cheaper if you dont mind waiting on china.
and i just noticed both are not genuine welbro but look identical so bet they are from the same manufacture just without a nice box and extra price :)

It came within a week (not from china either! from a storage place over here!)
and i can say its identical to the welbro one that costs 3 times as much(just without the screen printed welbro logo on the side!). plus it comes with the wiring you would need to buy. hose clips. spacers, and a prefilter:cool:
Bargain!

That pump is nothing more than a cheap Chinese copy of a quality Walbro.

ebay member Taiwantuner, item location CN China.

I would be very careful of fitting a cheap copy item in a safety critical area such as fuelling.

It's likely to have had no type approval, or extensive testing, so remains an unknown quantity.

It may well work now, but for how long, how durable are the parts fitted considering quality products have a shelf life.

You pays you money, you makes your choices.

It doesn't matter where the products are made, but how they are made.

But what does matter is if its bears the manufacturers label like Walbro, it therefore has to meet the type approval of such products as Walbro provide OEM pumps for cars, the Cento's pumps are Walbro as OEM. You don't get to that position without being able to produce reliable, well made products.

So anything thats bears more than a passing resemblance, coming from a country know to flout international copyright laws, therefore has been made down to price to ensure it sells against its properly developed well made genuine items, meaning no type approval, possible child labour, and substandard & possibly dangerous products.

All you are doing by buying such products is saying you approve of some or all of the above.
