does anybody know which order the ignition leads go onto the coil pack?

The order is impressed onto the metal part just above the coil packs
1 and 4 go to one coil, 2 and 3 to the other.
If you get flames out the TB, swap the pairs around.

thanks rallycinq been out all day doing the head gasket an forgot the order, just popped out now an it runs sound. hope fully it should lasta while now, new head gasket, cambelt, water pump, spark plugs etc

Make sure you bleed the cooling system properly.

still have to do that, what is the best way?
Cold, cock open, overfill the header tank, then open the valve(s) to expel the air.
Run for 5 mins, let it cool, repeat.
Check again after a short run.
