Hi

My daughters seicento is parked with the steering wheel locked, put the key in and give it a wiggle whilst trying the to turn the key, and we can't get the wheel to come out of the locked postion.

Any ideas anyone please?

You need to get the column in the position between the two stops to make the pin easier to remove.

If its a power column it might have come back against the stop when the power was switched off. Relieve the pressure by rolling the car if you can.

Hi

i have found a ball bearing in the plastic half cover (lower half) that covers the steering column. could this be anything to do with the steering lock problem?

Rallycinq....when you say.. remove the pin.. where is it located and can it be removed manually?

ps its not got power steering

Update.
I have managed to removed the ignition barrel from the steering column, and so releasing the steering lock, i then connected all the plugs back up, but the key will still not turn.

I have tried all three keys, 2 blue and one red

I have seen somewhere that to remove the barrel from the housing the key has to turn one click to "MAR" then the small lug on the side can be pushed in, and the lock slides out.

I can't turn the key, so does anyone know any other way to remove the lock?
