Hi guys,

The Cinquecento 1.1 Sporting wont go in reverse.

The clucth cable snapped the other day so i have replaced that now even with just the ignition on it wont go in reverse anyone had this before :bang:

You didn't disturb the reverse detent cable, did you?

On the front of the selector tower.

The reverse light doesnt come on and it drives forward instead of reverse

So the lever isn't going far enough over. Make sure the inner cable brackets are in the right place.

It feels like it goes over far enough but when it feels in it drives forward

The lever in the car is going far enough, the gearbox end isn't, you are in fourth.

So i need to look at the top of the gearbox then

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO What a d**k i feel now i have owned Vauxhalls all my life and because i havent drove the car in a while i went for the VAUXHALL reverse instead of the FIAT!!!! :idea:

Nope dont think so i havent driven it properly yet lol

A mate of mine did that and put the sei into a fence
