Just planning ahead now.

Have had a 'quick' conversation with oldskool about this and he reckons the ECU is perfect for the engine. I know you need to remap to make it run correctly, but how do you escape the immobiliser problem. I would need to check that the car starts and runs before i take it to have it remapped as im sure that id find several problems if i just turned up to have the car mapped.

I already have the ECU and loom, but even if i want to go with the Code box from the punto i would have the problem with the locks wouldnt i?

Have tried Gaz and McKrich but they are unable to make a chip that just disables the immobiliser.

Is there an easy way around this, as i cant find any info on it???????

Its the chip inside the key head that the immobiliser is looking for. Open they punto key, take the chip out and put it into the cento key.

If you don't have split or openable keys, sometimes its a wee bung that you take out, then just cut the blade off the punto key and use it as your key ring ornament.

Cheers
