Anyone got the wiring / details to do with PAS on a 1.1 Seicento Sporting 2000(W) please ? I have the dreaded one sided steering fault and my friend wants to have a look. He mends all things electrical and used to design for Lucas. Be useful to know if the column, motor or PAS ecu for a start ?
I spoke to PDH (Fiat) in Hassocks, Sussex and they haven't heard of the problem before. Blessss.

Hi wish I could help but I have the same problem searched through here and no one ever seems to say the end result mine steers real easy to the left and feels like normal to the right.

my question is should it have pass its mot with it like that ?

Generally the motor and column are a unit and are the part(s) that that fail.

fiat wont sell bits of the PAS column... they wouldnt want people messing with stuff that can effect your steering.

you have a dodgy/sticking torque sensor. or an dirty/not centred position sensor.
chances are the setup will be the same design as the corsa Electronic PAS and there is a LOT of info on fixing them online. so give that a shot

I only know my way around corsa PAS as we fit them to rally cars

Hi again. I turned off the PAS by removing the fuse. The steering appears to be stiffer one way than the other so maybe the ball joint ?

Or track rod end.
