hi can anyone help us.
my daughter has a seicento sweet, v reg, and the cooling fan has started making a real loud clattering sound.
this only started a few days ago and it happens every time the fan kicks in.
i cant figure how you even get to the fan assembly so any advice would help.
also does anyone know of a Haynes type manual for one of these.
not that it makes much difference but this car has only done 32k and everything else is like new. thanks for looking.

this will seem stupid but is the bumper easy to get off? is there anything i should;d be careful of? my sun took the bumper off his pug and totally wrecked the slide in mounts

hi, any advice would be useful. this started with a noisy cooling fan, but now im confused. the fan use to come on when engine got hot and most times it made a clattering noise but now we don't even get a warning light to say its getting hot and now the fan does not even start. any ideas??

no, never was going to do so today but then new symptom, no warning light? fan spins freely by hand though. does light come on with ignition and then go off when started or only come on when hot as this one seems to do nether. fan still has to come out but now cocerned about light and tem switch as well

Hello mate,
I had lots of work to do to mine along these lines...
Where are you ? okay, look everything is easy to get to on these,
and these guys here are great (by the way the excellent advice above deserves a thankyou click on the bottom right of their post, see it ? the little hand... These same guys helped me too..)
Right, you have a main fuse for the fan, a big fuse, prolly 30 amp, you can replace the bust wire with that fusewire wrap packs you get for a quid, do you know what i mean ?,, Or buy a new fuse.. they are large..
The fan is easy to change, i dont know if you will get the exact one, i dont know if you want a 2ndhand one...
As said fan is very easy to get off, and just one small multiplug2pull off...

thanks all for advice, situation is still odd and not sure if i should change the fan now or not (local fiat dealer quote £160 !!) i got switch working and fan now cuts in and out correctly but now it don't make any noise, just normal whirling and i haven't touched the fan, just spun it by hand. i don't get it, before it mad a hell of a racket but have driven?run it 5 times now and fan has cut in about 10 times with no adverse sounds. im on the isle of wight and there are none available from breakers at the mo. any advice?

yes i think that s the best i can do, going to work on the premis that it will need one most prob so as soon as one shows in breakers i will grab it and stick it in the draw until its needed....rather waste a tenner on something we may not need then £160 on something at a later date when its got to be had...........incedently rally i have the gynaecologist thing on a tee shirt, get them printed free from vista print as part of there never ending junk e-mail offers
