Hi guys

After all your suggestion last time about me & me dads wee Cinq weve still had no luck in getting it running. Its pointing more and more to the Ecu unit.

I was wondering if any of you would know any ways to get an ECU for from a different Cinq working on mine?

The chip in the key seems to be the stumbling block.(n)

Cheers for the help.

Nope, best to start your own thread, or it gets very confusing and people won't have a clue what you're asking unless they stumble on the thread.........

A google for OBD2 error codes will turn up the answer(s) or you might start here.

One error will trip another, so don't panic. I'd be inclined to try running the car with the bonnet up in the dark, first, look for any flashes, sort them out.

What's the part number on the ECU? Some of the early Sei MPI ones were unreliable, the later ones seem to be almost bullet proof.

hi, ive followed advice and started my own thread, thank for your help, i cant post a link as of yet as im new here but heres the title "error Codes P0201/202/203/204/0351/0352"

oh and the ECU serial: IAW4AF.M91

THANKS

£12 for a new ECU chip to disable the immo its just standard mapping one without the immobilizer code

or £12 for one thats remapped for bit more power and no immo also but may void insurance due to it being a performance enhancement

Looking around for some one to recondition my ECU or buy a reconditioned (or even new) ECU, but can you give me some pointers regarding disabling the immobiliser? (IAW59FM1)

This is getting soooo confusing for a female who knows sod all about engines and just wants to save a huge Fiat bill!

You've all helped me really well so far - Thanks :)

But the thread is about a Cinq ECU.................... :bang:

I'm just replying to the last post by someone who needs help..

Just a quick word to let Routledge know that I managed to get an ECU plus full locking system/keys and another important part (can't remember what it's called) for £115 including vat & delivery & 6 MONTHS WARRANTY from partsgateway.co.uk (y)
It's amazing how other companies quoted up to £275 :slayer: for repairing mine when a new one from Fiat costs £220.

Good Luck
Fiona
