i have bought a used fiat cinquecento and i have realised that it has a remote locking sensr but i wasnt given the remote. After reading the handbook i found that you can program a new remote. Does anyone know where i can get a fiat remote or does n e 1 have one.

i dont think the cinqs ever came with remote central locking as standard, only central locking via the key.

how do you know you have a sensor for it??

it says so in the handbook and i recognise it from the picture you cant miss it by the rear view mirror............its an l reg sx

I think that it would only have a remote if someone had put in an aftermarket alarm and did it that way.


EDIT- Welcome to the forum

on page 25 of the owners manual it has details of how to program your remote to it on versions with it fittied

in my sporting, the only thing by the rear view mirror is the interior light - a white plastic lens mounted onto a black plastic base

ahhhh, sorry about that - i didnt know they'd ever released it with a remote.

no idea where you'd get a new remote from, probably REALLY difficult to get a second hand one too.

Yeah, that is for the remote unit!!

i thought you needed the remote..or at least one to program another remote to the reciiver unit? or you will need to change the lot if you have lost all of them??as you need the original remote to trigger the reciever unit to reprogram a new fob...as if you did not do that anyone can program there fob to your car...might be wrong though....just a thought

yeah n e 1 can if then inside the car an it the right kinda remote

my car has remote central locking by fiat fitted and an outside (non fiat) immobiliser fitted. Mines an sx it was built with this it says in the manual am sure

my trust old SX had the same cental locking system. I'd love to have a go in one again for old times sake. have fun with it!
