i am thinking about adding a push start to my little cinq, however im not sure on the wiring. Its more about getting at them on the old barrel like how i get the the wires of the barrel, has anyone else done this to there car?? or is it really more of a garage job?? im fairly usefull with a spanner so i can do most stuff just electronics is not my favorut.

You're all making it sound more complex than it is. I can still start my car with the key & the button only becomes energised once the key has been put in the ignition & turned to the standby position, it is therefore more for cosmetic reasons than anything else, tho I have found that there is an added benefit on my car in that say I unlock the car using alarm remote, get in but do not start within the 30secs limit, car immobilises, normally I have to turn the key to the off position, then back round to the standby position press the remote to disengage the immobiliser, then start, but with the push button start you just press the alarm remote & hey presto the button is ready to start.

I used the Richbrook one which includes all wiring & relays needed & the instructions are very good, follow them to the word & you can't go wrong.
