Thule Roof Bars & Boxes on a Cinquecento

Hi,

Has anyone fitted Roof bars and box to their Cinquecento?

I've checked Halfords & Thule and they have the following kit.

Thule 760 Bars - £24.99
Thule 950 Footpack - £44.99
Thule 198 Fitting Kit - £28.51

Box - 290Ltr

Looking to get one pretty soon as we're away on Hol's in December and might have to take the Cinquecento and also I defo need one for Skydiving next year. I can get all my camping gear in the VW Scirocco but thats staying offroad, so will be taking the Cinquecento Sporting instead.

If anyone has got any pic's that would be appreciated as well.

I can see where the kit fits to the front but not to sure on the rear, does it fit where the gap is on the side rear windows?

Oh if anyone has one for sale as well?

Thanks all

I have bars fitted to my seicento. I got em for £20 from guy at my dads work. They're supposedly official FIAT but if they ain't then so what, they work fine. I use em to get bikes to and from the Lakes and uni, i can get two on the roof at a time. I`ll take some pics later and show you. They were some on ebay at some point.

Does 14,000 feet sound about right for a sky dive, because we can't remember what the man said

Where abouts are you jumping?

That seems quite a lot of money altogether for some roof bars. How much Fiat charging might be worth ringing?

Thumbs up Re: Thule Roof Bars & Boxes on a Cinquecento

Well, finally bought some Roof Bars and a Roof Box from Ebay (Saved a fortune compared to Halfords).
All ready for our little breakaway to Butlins at Skegness just before Christmas.
Big thanks to all for your help.

Paid a total price of £110 inc. Delivery.
This included Lockable Roof Bars which were extremely easy to fit and also a lockable 200ltr Roofbox.

So with the car fully loaded inc. Suitcase and my Kitbag in the Roofbox, Boot full although thats not that hard to do and me, My other half and our son, we set off for the 130 mile trip to Skegness.

And.......To be honest it went like a dream. Stuck to about 55 to 60MPH for most of the way and went without a hitch and got there in about 3¼hrs. Traffic and weather didn't help, but made good time for a ickle car.

The only thing I had to keep an eye on was the water as I just had the waterpump replaced the day before (and to date its still not lost any!)

We did have a really bad frost on the day we would return which the Cinq didn't like, but it started after about 5 or 6 tries to our relief, then again it was bloody cold!

On the return we stopped at my Best Friends Parent Farm, as they were visiting from Australia and that gave me time to get a few pictures.
So here is one of them!

No laughing ok!

Oh and got this for christmas as well!
1/43 Scale Cinquecento ELBA Rallye 1997

The Cinq also got fitted with a Clarion MP3 player, Sony Custom fit speakers and some Genuine Headlamp Protectors, the last 2 being bought again from ebay

Anyway, hope you all had a great christmas and hope you all have a great new year!
