hi there, im just wondering if anyone knows if 165/65 x 13" tyres will fit on my standard cinq sporting alloys, which are normally 165/55 x 13" tyres. thanks for the help.

What you save on rubber you will spend on tickets for the police ball...

Increasing the rolling radius will mean you will be indicating 30 on speedo but be going faster then you were before you increased the rolling radius, speeding fines are expensive.

the rolling radius is 6.4% bigger on the 65 profile so if the speedo were 100% acurate that would mean at an indicated 70mph you would be travelling at 74.5mph

All speedo's under read and can do by as much as 10% so providing you stick to the speed limit as indicated by your speedo you would be OK in fact if anything it would be more acuarate than it is now

Only thing i would say is if get the same or higher speed rating, insurance companies are getting very arsey these days and look for any excuse not to pay out. So if you have a shunt as a result of loss of traction (eg understear off into a ditch) then they may get difficult if the tyres are a different size and do not meet the manufactures speed ratings for the car. They may even deam them as being unsuitable for the vehicle and a undeclared modification (they really are that bigger barstools)

165/65x13 is not one of the FIAT homogulated sizes, so the insurance company will have a prima faica case, you would need to tell them and they might then want money.

The car is not that good on the OEM 165/55R13 anyway.

Just to add, I run 175/65/13 on my Cinq. In fact, it may be 165/65/13, but I cant remember :D

They are rather high, but the speedo is near enough spot on. Speedo is near enough bang same as the GPS up to about 70mph.

Cornering is still as good imo, I've not noticed any adverse affects....
