Hello,

I have a problem with one of my dashboard lights in that I don't know what it means. It looks like I lost the owners manual at some point so I can't look it up there. Its on the left, red and looks a bit like a hose. Not having any trouble with the car and the light isn't on all the time (sometimes when its on its flikering).

Any advice on what it means and what I should do next would be appriciated as I have to make a longish journey on friday and I'm a tad worried.

Sounds like the engine management light.

If it is only on for a short time its normal. If it stays on for any length of time it indicates a sensor is out of sync with the management system.

Its unlikely to strand you, although it may limit engine performance if the light stays on for longer.

When was the car last serviced?
