Right Ive had my X plate Seicento Sporting since April last year and with the test coming up id thought id get things sorted in plenty of time instead of leaving every thing to the last min.
So I know i need a new fuel tank as mine is leaking from the seam, and the tracking is out due to a run in with a wall when the hand brake failed to hold it on a hill.
I had a local garage sort the tracking out and they also noticed that the down pipe was shot.

Well that was last week.

Ive just got the car back from having a new exhaust fitted, so the good news is that it sounds a bit more throaty now.
Now for the bad new, it needs the manifold sorting as the bolts to the down pipe were striped by the pervious owner and it needs new engine mounts as they are rusted through.

As this is my first Seicento i hav no idea where to get the parts from so id be very happy if some one could poin me in the right direction

Hey up smudge assuming its knottingley in West Yorkshire, you are just down the road from me, im in Pontefract.

I recommend taking it to Motorcity for any work unless you are sorted in that deaprtment.

The internet is your friend for the mounts - ebay, shop4parts even fiat dealers should still stock the parts you require

Yeah, I took it to motor city for the tracking but its still not right and they didnt notice the engine mounts when they had it in.

Aslong as the mounts are bolted on and not welded ill be fine, i just dont have access to a welder at the min.

Wheres best to take it for its test when its ready?

I have never seen cento mounts rusted through at all. I think you need a second opinion.

The mounts are in three parts, one on the engine/gearbox, one on the chassis and then a metalastic bush inbetween.

Which part has rusted?

It could be that the floor pan has rusted, but again, the exhaust fitter should have seen that.

Im not sure which mounts that have gone. I didnt pick the car up yesterday when the exhaust was done. As soon as i get the chance im going to get it up on stands and have a good look for myself before i decside what to do with it.
