Is it possible to run a Megasquirt ECU with all the standard sensors on the car? what version of the megasquirt hardware would you recomend to get?

Is there a comprehensive guide for setting one of these up on a cinquecento?

Cheers all.

yes, i use an MS1 with a V3 PCB and run the ms:extra firmware. For a new build i'd recomend getting an MS2 processor though.

not so much "plug" it in.

remove stock ECU plug;

wire up (thats a relay board)

The way I run my wiring on the N/A Sei is stock loom into the gutted ECU box, that I've added another connector to which goes to the MS2 under the dash. Either way you'll need to trace all the wires like arc did or get an accurate pin out for the ECU connectors.

I'm running an MS2 V3 PCB with a narrowband lambda & it's working fine on my lightly tuned Sei, somewhere down the line I'll get a second WB lambda (2 cars & 1 WB lambda sensor doesn't really work). That said for mapping you'll need a WB sensor, especially if you're mapping at home rather than on a rolling road.

Yeah, mapped with a WB runs on a NB. As I said I've only got the one wideband sensor right now & it seems a better idea to keep the WB on the turboed car as it's more sensitive to fuelling problems.

Im going to be buying a megasquirt but will everything else work like headlamp leveling, tempreture gauge, rev counter, speedo, fuel guage?

Will everything in the car still function or will i loose the functionality of the guages?

Cheers all (y)

is there anything you know of that is driven by the stock ECU that i will loose the functionality?

Cheers :rolleyes:
