Re: tyres?????

what rallies are you doing? gravel, tarmac etc. The surface conditions will determin the tyres.

for fast road use id get some 175/50/13's

I'm guessing these wouldn't fit on the standard alloys though, 'cos by my reckoning 175mm is just shy of 7" ... and aren't the standard alloys 5.5" wide?

Re: tyres?????

Take a look at the Bridgestone Databook 175/50 profile, 5.5J is the middle of the rim range for those tyres.

Re: tyres?????

As above, but generally, fat low profile for tarmac, skinny higher profile for gravel.

And so on.............

185 is generally the widest you can fit to 5.5J, and really you want the lowest profile you can get in those -- probably 50 -- to keeep the gearing sensible and avoid rubbing.

Re: tyres?????

Hi
Sorry Iam looking for gravel tyres .

I didnt no if 185/60/13 would fit ok without rubbing on the arch or the inner wing? with them being a bigger profile tread etc ?,as its a pop size gravel tyre

I have found some 175/65/13 reinforced gravels for this weekends rally now

Thanks for your help everyone will see how the cinqy holds up on the gravel roads of derbyshire.

thanks Paul

Re: tyres?????

What brands are you looking at, and what compounds/patterns do you need?

Cheers
