| Fuel consumption What is the fuel consumption on your Centos in mpg or how many miles to a tank (how many liters when re-filling?)? And what mods have you done? What sort of driving? What engine? Would be interesting to get some statistics together. And maybe we can draw some conclusions for savings?

| this is where i stand | Re: Fuel consumption using optimax, with a 1242 mpi, headwork, gsr cda induction, 421 exhaust, ms ecu, normal round town / nsl lanes i get the fuel light on after around 230miles, so assuming there is about a gallon left in the tank that's around 35mpg. I don't drive economically, and still have the ECU setup to spit fuel on overrun just for funsies ![]() Driving the car economically on the motorway i managed to get nearing 50mpg, but it was very boring!

| Re: Fuel consumption Hi my cinq sporting is standard apart from a bigger tb (aparently) and i got about 75mile from £10 i think that works out at about 36mpg. i do think there are a few problems under the bonnet thou.my 899 cinq soleil used to get 45 - 50 mpg when running well and as little as 30 when not.

| Re: Fuel consumption Seicento 1108 MPI, P75 cam, home made induction kit/BMC DIA air filter & remapped & this is reduced by 8% which seems to be how much the trip over-reads. I used to get 43mpg my work run of 1/3 spirited open B road & A road driving & 2/3 motorway driving. On longer motorway journeys I was getting up to 54mpg if I drove at lorry speed. After I did a service (with Silkolene Pro S 5W-40 oil & NKG Iridium IX plugs) the work run is now 52 or 53mpg. Long motorway work has been 55-58mpg & 150 miles motorway work, 30 to 40 min track time & some sedate driving in Somerset 46mpg.

| Re: Fuel consumption Hi, my standard 1108 Cinq sporting used to regularly make 330-340 miles per 30L fill-up, which is pretty much dead on 50mpg. That was probably 80% motorway, not exceeding 80mph. James

Keeping at an indicated 65 / 70 mph (55 / 60 real world gps mph) it'll get 300 miles to reserve / 30 L. Never more than 45 mpg no matter how smoothly / slowly i drive. Never less than 33 mpg no matter how much i hit the limiter.

| Re: Fuel consumption 1108 standard Cinq. (All City driving) Drive with the foot berried in the floor. 35-40mpg. Dodgy Throttle body at the mo, so probably killing a few mpg.

| Re: Fuel consumption 1242mpi turb did near 45mpg (i said 30before i worked it out right) but that was doing 60-70mph on motorway with hitting red line in 4th-5th couple of times. I used 10quid of bp 95ron fuel before the drive back from york drag strip(60miles) and only used half of what i put in if that makes sense. Id like to add that the battery was totally dead so i think the ecu had reset it self so could of changed a bit with more driving also i think i think the a f r off boost is near 13s, only had to push throttle pedal about 5-10mm down to cruise on motorway

| I Need Beer | Re: Fuel consumption The Turbo averages 32mpg, but that can easily go into the low 20's when pushing on. Give it a steady motorway run (off boost!!) and that goes up into the mid/high 30's. It is running 195/45 tyres on 14's plus it only ever runs on Super Unleaded. TBO The amount of time i actually get to drive it (thanks to my mad job) a tank of fuel lasts at least 6 weeks The N/A has a C&B 268, 36mm TB, GSR induction, Ported Head, SS 4-2-1 manifold, CSC cat back (but an empty cat can), McKrich Chip. Runs 185/50 tyres on 14's and use the cheapest fuel I can find. This is the wifes daily runner and constantly averages 44mpg in mixed driving, this can be well over 50 on a steady long run

| Re: Fuel consumption just checked my fuel consumption by filling the tank doing 265 miles then re-fillling. Did 50.66 mpg over mixed town and open road driving and sitting at 60 or so.. in my 899cc seiciento 15k miles from new. It is sad how mpg now really matters . i Drive my bmw 328i coupe purely for pleasure at 22 or so mpg sign of the times i suppose. What mpg do other's get on this forum ?Anthep
