| this is where i stand | Re: Inertia switch no power it doesnt have a live feed, it deals with the negative side of things. when u turn the ignition on, do you hear the pump prime for 2 seconds or so?

| this is where i stand | Re: Inertia switch no power ok, check the 10A fuse near the ECU. If that is ok, then i would start fault finding on the fuel pump wiring. bung a multimeter accross the fuel pump connections and get someone to turn the ignition on. the pump is under the rear seats. lift them, and there are 4 nuts holding a metal place in place - its under there. one set of wires is for the gauge, the other for the pump. if power is getting to there, its safe to assume the pump is dead - but u may wanna try running a 12v feed to it just to make sure

| Re: Inertia switch no power checked 10 amp fuse ok had the panel off at the rear seat/tank put a test light in at the 4 wires at the fuel pump one wire is live another is live but dim and the other 2 wres have nothing anyone know the color for the pump feed as checked the 2 wires at the inertia switch under the dash but nothing from these as assuming there got to be fedd to control the pump so still reckon no power so dont want to condemn thepump yet got a power probe but need the correct wire at the pump to feed to see if the pump is working or not fiats how true Fix It Again Tony thanx

| this is where i stand | Re: Inertia switch no power green and black should be live to the pump. black and purple should be the return. you wont get much on the green and black though, unless the engine is turning over or the ignition has just been switched on. use a multimeter to check that there is a connection from black/purple to ground.

| Re: Inertia switch no power hi ; i think there is 2 big wires and 2 thin wires the 2 big are the feed of the pump and the 2 thin are the level of fuel , put the test lamp on the 2 big wires then turn the contact on the lamp must be light.

| Re: Inertia switch no power one wire is live....bright may be fuel sender other is live but dim may be pump other two nothing earths had lines of at inlet (carb/singlepoint) so when cranked over had no fuel coming out still no feed at the inertia switch so if this has no feed it will not feed the pump as inertia is master control for safety so reckon fault is feed to the Inertia switch unless this only has power when vehicle is running dunno so is this down to ecu at fault fuel pump relay at fault ![]()
