| this is where i stand | Re: Inertia switch no power there is no feed to the inertia switch, it cuts out the negative connection. poking it with a test lamp is going to show you nada. get a multimeter, they're only about £2.99 from maplin. use that to check that the test the systems properly ![]() as i've already said, the fuel pump will have power when the ignition is inititally switched on - or if the engine is running. try this, disconnect the two pin plug from the fuel pump. with the green/black (sometimes orange) and purple/black. connect the test lamp across them, then watch the lamp as you turn the ignition on.

| Re: Inertia switch no power when meter is connected and turn on ignition i get power then goes to zero when i proceed to cranking over the engine i get a feed as well and when i let the key off the cranking posistion the feed stops which should be normal so got power took the pump/sender out of the tank and away from the car and used the power probe to see if pump would work which it did checked the wires that run the pump for continuity thats are located internally and all is fine there as as well so put it back into the tank and tried again nothing took the seal and plastic off the multiplug plugged it done the ignition and cranking and motor was working at this time i had the feed and return fuel lines off but when the pump was working it never spurted out fuel put the multiplug back together and nothing again so got the two parts of the plug which is working the pump but still no fuel so now i dont know if the pump is weak and cannot prime up or something that i am missing the saga continues ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
