Hi, I wonder if any one out there can help me solve my little problem with my Cinquecento sport. My hazard lights are not working and it appears the fuses are fine, does anyone know exactly which fuse it is ?
Also I have tried to wire up a stereo as the wires were just hanging out, but when I connected the red (live ?) and black (earth ?) nothing happened, has this got its own fuse as well and if so which one, also does anyone know if the live wire is a different colour.
many thanks in advance
ps i need music to drive effectivly so pleassssse help !!!!!!!!!!!!!

stero has two lives, one red one yellow. one is permanent live, the other is switched live.

the stero and the hazzards use the same fuse, double check the fuses are actually fine. i can't remember off hand which fuse it is

there are no yellow wires coming from the wiring lomb where the head unit sits, but there is a red wire. my head unit has red and yellow.
also, is there anything else on the same fuse as stereo and warning lights ?
cheers

i know its silly, but check the fuse on the actual head unit...

just checking.... because some head units (like my big bro's) has the fuse hidden.... mine is just visible, you can literally pull it out....

thanks

If your hazards were working before you changed the stereo then check that you have wired the purple wire in with the live. Purple wire being the hazard live.
I had same problem few days ago soon and i did this everything is all fine.

Is your stereo working fine, If so it aint a fuse.

i cant get the stereo to power up at all, yes i have already changed the fuse in the head unit. You mention the purple wire live for hazards, is that plain purple or a mix of colours. I dont know if they were working before i fitted the head unit as i have just bought the car
many thanks everyone

Should be plain purple one as the main feed for hazards.

Did you use wiring harness or cut wires yourself ?

hi cut wires myself, i now have got hazard lights working, so my live has power, so mybe my head unit is knackered

Halfway there lol, Least you know it aint a fuse etc, Long as all wires are wired in correct then it could be knackered unit. Double check stereo live wires.

tried a different head unit and it powers up fine, i cant believe my kenwood headunit is f+++++d
oh well at least it sorted now, many thanks guys
