anyone have informations , website or pics to swap an ut engine into a cinqué ?

Thx:)

i personally wouldn't recommend doing an uno turbo swap (assuming these are your intentions)

it involves alot of work (and cash)
the engine is very heavy.
it would be alot cheaper (and more productive) to whack a 1242 60 engine in if im honest mate :)

regards

my first intentions was to find a kit turbo for fire but I don't find it and I have already an 1.2 fire 75cv mpi in my car

then the other solution is to swap with ut engine and in order to make it harder and difficult, I want to keep my six speed gear box in the 2 solutions lol

A member called Theresa has done it and has used the fiatforum gallery. Cant remember her username, not been on a while, think it is cinq_uno_turbo

1.4 SuperFIRE in N/A or turbo guise would be a better bet.

The engine is too new for me in order to find it

and after i will have the same pb with 1.2 fire, where can I find a kit turbo for ?

The NA 1.4 16v is not that hard to find: fitted to Stilo 1.4 16v, Nuova Punto, Panda 100hp, 500.

One such project here. The turbo engines are a lot harder to find (but take the turbo as well, and the gearbox).

No one does kits anymore apart, perhaps, from a member here called richcinq -- it might be worthwhile PMing him.

As far as the kit goes, it's little more than a GT15 turbo off an Astra van, a chopped down exhaust manifold, and an intake manifold. Then you need an aftermarket ECU and some low compression pistons.

Fabricating that lot is going to be a lot easier than chopping the Cinq about to fit a Uno turbo motor.

In france, I don't find any new fire engine, perhaps the drivers are too good to have an accicent lol

sure you're right, it will be more easy to install a kit turbo on my fire and i'm sure to keep my six speed gearbox with

* a gt15, no pb to find

* a down pipe, no pb to make but the manifoildentre the engine and the turbo, where I can find ? or I will have to make it too ?

* an intake manifoild, same pb, you take one of what car ?

* pistons low compressions, no pb, I read one thing on this that the 1.2 mpi 75cv have goot the good pistons, roght or wrong ?

* and the aftermarket ecu, I don't know where to find too. it's just a chip on the grey box origin or I will have to make a real complete harness for

Thx for help ;)

The manifold will have to be custom made but is easy enough to just use the original one with a flange welded on to accept the turbo

Intake manifold is the same as what you already run as it is an MPI already so should be able to cope with the extra fueling fine.

The pistons would be ok for a low boost set up but for going to proper turbo set up you will either need a Head gasket spacer to change the compression or custom pistons. (the 75 pistons are used in a 60 block to change compression iirc)

You will need some kind of aftermarket ECU along with a fuel cut defender and a 2nd Map sensor that is albe to read positive boost.

You will also need an intercooler for high boost and a oil cooler is recommend for both set ups..

There is loads of information missing here so just do a search and all will become clear!:)

Hope that helps a bit

Do do a search -- some of the French and Dutch guys have been cheerfully fabricating tubular manifolds. It's a better -- but more technically difficult -- solution than chopping the old cast iron one and welding a plate on.

16 valve pistons will drop the CR nicely.

Personally, I don't like the Punto 75 inlet mani (I'm looking to make one up just using the stubs). You will need injectors with more flow!

Megasquirt is the cheapest after market ECU solution, you can buy them built or as a box of components you solder together. There's probably a French language Megasquirt site out there somewhere!

hoki doki

I've got a lot of answers and many solutions for my project

finally I agree with you, I forget the UT solution too expensive

I finish some works on my car and after i will work on the the 500 turbo project lol

No doubt your already using the punto75 fuel pump they are good for just over 120bhp. Think about using water injection or evan better water and methanol mix. The 1.2 16v rods are lighter and it will be good if you balance the bottom end. Reshape the combustion chamber to get the "squish" or summat right for a forced induction engine lol its the little things that make the difference for torque and reliability
