Seem they're not made anymore?

Does any other company make them? I assume they tighten up handling and turn in? I have an apex kit on my car and it handles fine on 165/55/13 Pirellis!

I'll put my controversial hat on now...

To 'upgrade' the ARB you place it firmly in the bin.
My Mk1 Sei which is my best handling cento to date ran without an ARB
my friends Sei which is by far the best handling cento I've driven doesn't use an ARB
nitrane doesn't run with an ARB & neither does rallycinq I believe...

All of those cars however run fairly firm suspension setups, but then so does the apex kit so should deliver the same sort of characteristics of my mk1 Sei

It's not simple! ;)

All conventional suspension theory says that a stiffer front ARB increases understeer (which is generally not what we're after).

FWD cars can be a little less easy to influence/determine.

I suspect that the answer is to have a rear ARB as well as the front one.

But the Novitec and Eibach Cinq/Sei ARBs are now no longer made. Second hand ones have been known to turn up in Rallycinq's garden, but I'd not count on it.

Rallycinq have we an Eibach ARB kicking around?............

You want a rear anti-rool bar to increase turn in, and make the back more communicative.

On both my Suzuki Ignis and Celica GT4 I have fitted a White Line Flat Out rear ant roll bar, made both car much more pointed, with much less understeer, though the Ignis is not an understeery car as standard, though had no rear anti-roll bar as standard. The Celica's bar is thicker than standard and adjustable as well makes front end very pointy and removes understeer, you can also make a rear wheel cock up as front end grips with much more verve than before.

The integrale also has front and rear anti roll bars, again most people uprate the rear leaving the front well alone.

I know of someone who has made a rear anti roll bar, its still being assessed but IIRC it came off a readily available car in scrap yards and looks very neat and i believe will make a brilliant upgrade to any cento.

Uprating the front will only cause it too corner flatter bu with more understeer, think of it as s spring across the car.

Removing the anti-roll bar will make it roll more, and lean even more in corners, unless suitable hard springs are employed, but both cars mentioned are track orientated cars with hard track set ups. Just drive a Cento 899cc and see what they are like with no anti-roll bar.

My Mk1 Sei is on unknown 20mm springs and stock Sei dampers, hardly track spec suspension.

Yeah more body roll but chuck the car into the corner front outside corner dives down you get an initial sharp response that fades into understeer then as it gets loaded up the front grips and yanks the car round the corner. On longer corners again I'd find that the more you got the car to roll the more grip you have.

Well im getting Avo's for mine(same as nitrane) so on a track day ill try and get a timed lap with and without the uprated ARB

P.s. dont be sending me any seeds:p because i carnt grow ARB's, but i can grow flywheels:)
