Hi im new to this site i own 1998 siecento sporting, my engine light comes on time to time and the car has noticable lack of power i know some one in the trade but not with fiat, he thinks its a lambda problem as it smells of fuel (TB area) the only thing is he has unplugged other sensor to see if car runs better but no change, i just wondering if any one can tell me how to reset ecu and when light returns how then to read flash code.
any info would be great.
Thanks.

Plug the sensor back in, whichever one it was, the ecu will need the data from it to run the rest of the stuff properly.

Simply pull the big plug out for a min or so, or disconnect the battery, the car will run slightly odd for a while until it "learns" its settings.

Check all the fuel pipes around the injector unit, make sure all connectors are connected. Check the pipe that goes to the map sensor, make sure all the vacuum pipes are connected and not split/missing, check the map sensor plug, make sure the nut that holds it on is tight as I think its earthed.

Once the car has done a few miles, take it to an mot centre and ask them to check the emissions, they will be able to tell you what the problem is if its not right.

good luck

Thanks, sorry he did reconnect multi plugs arter he found running had not improved.
He has also disconnected battery for 24 hours and still the same, i think its time to get a moblie diagnosis company to read fault code and go from there.
Thanks for quick reply, if any one else has any other ideas or has ever come across this type of problem before would be very greatful.
If not will keep forum updated with repair after its running fine again.
Thanks
