Most. Im beginning to think gear actuation sounds like a PITA - currently thinking some form of electrical actuator there. Plus cramming heat management gear into a useful space (with adequate vent air) also looks hard!

If you can use cable operated actuation, it's "just" a matter of making up longer cables, otherwise, time to get the thinking cap on.

For heat management, rad up front, water by copper/aluminium pipes. For intercooler/oil cooler, (well meshed) duct to exit through Abarth rear bumper (one of the Novitec cars seems to have this) or through rear hatch. In the Warner "Street Turbocharging" book there's an MR2 (type 1) project that might give you some ideas.

One day I might build a Fiyota.....................

Main reason Im thinking is cramming heat management pipework, g/c cables in the same place under the car - I dunno whether there's enough space available. MOving the G/C linkage and cables inside the car would solve that though if you can turn the cables through the necessary radius without impinging on their operation

i need a way of getting the car to work to weld it all in because i dont really want to mess aout on my drive. and you allways never have the right tools. i had a small box tralier so i started cutting it up to amke a car tralier. it the right wheel base so it prob will not get used after this lol. heres a pic before and after painting.

See if you can get a peek at one of the stratos replicas: IIRC, the gear linkeage is inside, more or less straight back, the pipework down the sills. Sounds daft, but they're about the same size (although the Strat has bigger overhangs)!

Re: bike engined Seicento

ive drilled the gear lever on the engine. and iam making a plate so i can fix the gear shift cables to it with a rod end screwed to the end of the cable fixed to the lever. so it should sort out the gear change but still use everything thats allready there.for the clutch on the bike engine ive got a rear brake cylinder of a bike. and iam fixing the clutch cable from the car to a plate with a lever to push the rod on the cylinder. iam just trying to use whats already there to make things easy. heres a pic of the shocks ive got iam going to mod them to fit so i can play

Re: bike engined Seicento

Nice

What the shocks off? Are you ditching the trailing arm suspension on the rear while you are there?

most important......stick as many pics up as you can ... and stick then in the FF gallery or upload to the thread. That way, as long as this thread exists, the pics will. There's nothing more annoying than reading a good thread without pics

To add them to the thread, click the paperclip when posting

Cheers,

Kristian
