Okay so bought my N reg 1.1i Sporting and speedo didnt work, discovered that the two piece cable had broke. A new one piece cable was included with the car which fitted to the gearbox, but got broken by me accidently when pulling through the bulkhead.

Went to a breakers yesterday and found another one piece cable from a sporting and it does not screw onto the gearbox, its like the nut is half a millimetre bigger or something as it just slips over the threads.

Does anyone know the part number i need?

Are you sure the one piece one is for a sporting? Not sure which way round it is but the one piece cable could be for an 899 and not for a sporting.

899 speedo cables and 1108 sporting cables are different.

Looking at past threads it seems a 1 piece cable is for the older set of clocks as well, which i dont think your cinq will have.

Its okay found another speedo cable that fitted. And it was a 1108 sporting cable :S might just have been different reg or something :S :bang:
