Hi there,

This morning my 93/L 899c Cinqs heater blower would not work, so when I got to work I checked the fuses and low and behold the 15A fuse had blown. So I swapped it with the 15A fuse for the rear window heater and it blew again.

I had a dig on the forum and the closest I found was this:

https://www.fiatforum.com/cinq-sei-technical/45331-replacement-heater-blower-motor.html

I guess I will have to change the heater resistor, will my local Motor Factors sell this, or can it be bought online? I checked shop4parts to no avail!

Basically are there any easier/cheaper steps to check first?

This is probably a coincidence but I had my exhaust changed two weeks ago.

To make matters worse as my engine cooling fan is knackered, I have been using the heater blowers to cool down the engine when the temperature rises!

Yes I am stupid and yes I am driving the long way home avoiding any traffic! :)

Thanks for all your replies.

I took off the carpet just now and spun it by hand (well put a finger thru the grill!) and it spun fine.

Then I went back in the car to replace the rear window heater fuse (15A) which I used to test the heater fuse. I also replaced the fuse for the heater again, I turned the ignition on and the heater fan was working fine!

Weird! (but happy!) (y)

I can only guess it was a) dodgy fuses or b) something got stuck in there and somehow released itself before today!

PS: Anyone need a heater motor? (Yes I stupidly bought one for £15 from scrappy!)

PPS: Gives me a very good excuse to get radiator fan sorted now! (Its moved forward and scraped something when it used to come on, now it blows fuses!)

Hey hi there,

I have a Fiat Seicento 2001 1.1 with 39 thousand miles

An mine seems to have developed the same sort of problem (

The fan inside the car now is no longer working and also the radiator fan, seem's odd that they've both stopped working together??

Anyhow I've changed the fuse inside the car, an it blow's straight away?

Is this a comon fult?

Many Thank's & Kind Regards

Eliza xXx

PS please bear in mind a am a woman, but in saying this, I do no my way around a car, just not all the technical terms lol
