Getting the ducting out behind the centre blowers is tricky, it looks alot easier with the blower unit removed as the controls go with it allowing more space.

Ive just removed the blower unit today(for good) and will be removing the ducting tomorrow as my gauges dont fit properly.

J333 EVO has fitted gauges there before, and i doubt they'd have fitted with the ducting still there, so maybe he's removed it and can give more advice

cheers mate , i think its the ducting that i have removed beacause when you remove the vents there is a little dual vent thing that there is 2 screws in the top i thin so undone them and then just pulled it out lol , but i need to trim the actual part that comes up the middle , its hard to explane sorry lol , cheers

from what i could see there were 5 or more screws holding the ducting in, 2 top,2 bottom(get to from behind) and one on the right hand side next to the clocks

yeh thats right , but i took two out at the top and tried to see if it comes loose and it just ended up comeing off so i have probabley snapped some of the mountings now but shouldent be putting it back in anyway , cheers

right found a pic of a dash lol , i have removed that part circled in yellow , but would like to know if i could trim back the air box bit behind that duct ? bear in mind my dash is still in the car and not willing to take the dash out , cheers ,

I got offered one of these ceap off my mate and was going to mod the ash tray thing because I have no need for it, shudn't be much of a task, probs easier then in the vents.

Cheers

or you could have one of these :D this allows the screen to flip out perfectly clearing the original stereo hole. it also means you still have heating in your car (y)
