Recently, it has started to slip out of 5th gear, so it means I have to drive and hold it in to stop it happening. Any ideas what the problem could be with this? Is it likely to mean a new gear box?

If it is gonna be a new gearbox, does anyone know whether a sporting gearbox could be put in instead from either a cinq or a sei?

I suspect it's new gearbox time. Plenty in the scrappies, but the 899 gearbox is utterly and totally different to the one on the 1108s.
