Hey all,

Having issues trying to find the above

It's a 2000 SPI car but with Air-con which is the problem as it needs to be at least a 70amp (standard is 65)

Has anyone seen these available anywhere as local motor factors are useless

Cheers all!

Is this for the tub?

Forget the motor factors, try a alternator and starter motor specialist. There will be one nearby.

Generally, they can either find you a new one, an exchange unit, or rebuild the old one. The other source, of course, is the scrappy.

But I'd think a 65amp one would be up to it provided you don't run the air con and the spots all the time.

Yeah it is, fitted new waterpump and cambelt to find out alt is fudged as well

Have found a local place that can recon it for me but was wanting to check all the options as a straight swap (car needs to be used most days) would suit best..

Tempted by a 65amp but just don't want to replace it again after a summers aircon inspired motoring

I'll ask my local guy when i'm next down there if you like. Gets most stuff cheaper than anywhere and usually in 2 hours as well, he's a top bloke.

Just as a thought, would it be the same alternator as found on a mk2 punto with air-con...? might be easier to find one in scrappies if so ;)

I know these are for Punto's but are there any differences between these and Cinq ones, I can't think why there would be being FIRE engines, but having only worked on 1108 and 1368 16V never a 1242 Punto engine I am not 100% sure, its the three fixing holes thing that throws me when it says Seicento one has 2

Size not the biggest issue, as long as the mounting holes line up and pulley in correct position, theres loads of space around the alternator. The 90amp alternator on my integrale is massive compared to the original 65amp one, so big I had to remove a strut, and drive shaft to get it in past the bulk head unlike smaller one which can be twisted out.

Not looked at eper, I have definitely posted up years ago part numbers for the Sei A/C alternator is is uprated and I would not run anything less TBH especially with PAS

Might be simply a matter of making up another mounting plate......... Dunno -- ask the Punto folk?

But if it were mine, I'd go for a recon unit: they're virtually re-manufactured (at least, from anywhere reputable) and will be even cleaner than the existing one. Save the planet, and all that.............;)

hi, i just bougt a new one form fiat themselfs. its for a non air con sei but they said there was a different version for one with air con? have u asked fiat? mine was 88 pound worth check

Tried Fiat they need the chassis number as it's an import

Need to get that at some point...

Gaz got a spare one then? lol

Aaron- Only thing with your list is that the Alt definately says 70amp on the sticker on it..

It has this:

Denso 63321488
AA125R 14v 70A
18800/1

Google isn't really helping much just bring up 65a ones :bang:
