tyres

I still need lower profile tyres for my cinq. 185/60s on at the moment.

Thats gives me a rolling radius of 276mm and its hitting the arches. I don't want to loose tyre width but can't find any lower profile 185's. I was going to get some 175/50s that'd give a rolling radius of 252mm, which should be fine i reckon.

I've found some dunlop 195/45's tho, SP SPORT 9000. They'd give a rolling radius of 252mm also. Would 195's fit without arch work, or should i just stop being daft and buy some 175/50s? :D

195/45/15's go without archwork, so i presume 195/45/13's will ;)

It might look a bit daft, you really need 6.5" or 7" rims for 195's.

Continental ContiSportContact 175/50r13 are bloody outstanding, grip like nowt else even in the wet. £55 a pop though.

Pete.

they're the ones i was looking at if i were to get 175/50s.

by looking daft, do you mean just down to the fact they'd 'bubble' over the edge of the rim?

the 195/45/r13's shouldn't have any problems with arches as they won't fill right up the the edge like the current 185's do.

I'd say go for the 175/50's personally on continental rubber, superb grip and they help a bit with acceleration. Well they will when you change from 185/60 to 175/50. [8D]

Those Conti's are a bit steep for me so I go for Bridgestone Potenza's at £45 a corner, same type of tyre fitted as standard to BMW 6 Series and Civic Type R's.

Yep, the tyres would be much wider than the wheels.
