If you are serious about Cento ownership, join Clubcento and then speak to Fluffy the Impaler, the club parts guru. Get big discounts.

Then, once fitted, realign it properly.

Cheers

Re: weird head light

lot of them have the black inside. It's the reflector that puts the light out (and the bulb)!

Leave it alone!

Re: weird head light

If one is black and the other isn't then it sounds like the reflector has gone funny. Some do.

Would have thought £15 top from a local scrappy for a new one.

and yes, might need the beam adjusting, but any good garage can do this for a few quid, or do it yourself.

Re: weird head light

Not really sure what you are asking:

A; the reflector has gone black, or the light unit is black, but

if the light units when black inside are proper sporting headlamps, grey ones are off non-Sportings, often Sportings have these as they are cheaper to buy new, or more plentiful from scrap yards.

if the reflector has lost its chrome, then replace.

Re: weird head light

If the reflector hasn't lost its chrome, why bother replacing it?

Ditto, but from what is being discribed, what else could it be?

Re: weird head light

I think some of the shells are grey plastic, some black. Certainly the Sportings seem to get the black. But it makes no odds if the reflector's OK. I've only seen the black ones recently, so if fashion sense dictates a matching pair, get a black one.

I think the problem here is that we don't know exactly where the black stuff is.

If the black stuff is on the reflector, or more likely the chrome has corroded off the reflector, then replace the headlamp unit.

If the black stuff is merely the mounting box that the reflector sits in, then its a fashion decision on whether to change or not.

Some Cento headlamp boxes were made in black plastic, some in grey.

Cheers
