Re: beef it up?

The cheapist is drilling the bottom part of your air box behind the filter. What type of engine is the cinq? 899 or 1108cc?

Luke.

Re: beef it up?

Ignor the above post, if you drill the air box behind the filter the engine will be sucking in un-filtered air

Fit a decent pannel filter and bodge a bigger cold air feed to the air box

Re: beef it up?

What I meant was behind the filter so the air will be directed straight to the filter.

Re: beef it up?

With the airbox, some people decide to drill their airboxes. I haven't done this but there are some mixed views about it. People believe it gives a better sound as you can hear the air being vacuumed in through the holes.

Making a car sound more 'mannish', is like putting a pair of socks in your pants. (manish would be making it look like a lion)

Cheers

Re: beef it up?

Yeah, as brooky said.

Can get K&N panel airfilters for about £35 and push the boat out abit to get gsr... best bet is to save up abit more, its worth spending abit more money for a better outcome .

Re: beef it up?

AJ and Brooky are right, the GSR kit has returned loads of good results. Worth the £100 new and easy to install yourself =)

Yup, that would make it 'manish'. Look a bit daft though maybe.
