idle speed

where is this wire from?

after changing head gasket, water pump, timing belt etc the car has started feeling a little lumpy especially when idleing could this wire be the cause?

the wire is red and yellow

when running the car seems fine

any ideas?

could the timing be slightly out but when set up marks were defonitly correct on both marks

could timing be out but when set up marks were perfect on both pullys

no idea where that's from, but looks to be on the gearbox side of the engine, and that wire isn't very long - have you had a good look around to see if there are any obvious sockets that seem to be missing a connector?

is it a sensor for the speedometer? [dunno if it has one] or the lead that fits to the reversing light switch?

it cant be much as it only has one wire/connector, so it isnt off the SPI unit

A/C compressor wire. Gives it the signal to start/stop. Doesn't relate to your idle problems thought...
