| my son has a1998 fiat seicento s. 899 cc, today he completely ran out of fuel i put in 2 gallons of fuel hoping this would be able to start the car but no matter what i do i cannot get fuel from the tank up to the carburettor, could this be an airlock or is there a saftey cut out stopping the petrol from coming up...any replies would be helpfull.. ron

| mad bad and very very old | Re: ron p Sei S won't start after running out of fuel Welcome. The fuel cut off is on the front bulkhead behind the centre of the dash, although I doubt its that. Can you hear the pump try and prime when the ignition is first turned to position one. I would guess that the pick up or filter is/are blocked. Cheers D

| thanks for your reply, it was the pump reset switch ,after reseting everything seems to be ok.. we can now hear the pump starting up on ignition... thanks again for your help,,,ron.p
