Classically, rings, although it could be valve stem oil seals (or valve stems). Mayo? In the turbo car? Compression test asap.

Is this the one you've just taken out of storage?

OK, don't panic. Let it warm up fully in its own time then take it for a run. The engine will be full of condensation.

Change the oil and filter.

Review after several runs.

Cheers

Re: oil breather smoking and smoke when remove oil cap

Have you changed the oil? If not, there is a chance that the old stuff has picked up moisture which the engine is trying to evaporate: the only place it can go is out the breather (unless you remove the cap).

Ha! Beaten by Rallycinq! (Again)

This cold weather is a bugger as well, my car hasn't used a drop of coolant in the last 1000 miles but you wouldn't believe the amount of water i'm getting out of catch tank especially when it's doing short runs (no mayo in the cap though) it can only be condensation.
