Hey all,

just bought a shiny CSC 1242 exhaust manifold and a 1242 manifold gasket which arrived today. However, the manifold has circular ports and the gasket has more oblong/oliptical ports. I was wondering if this is really the correct fit or if I could get a gasket which is made to fit?

Cheers

There are at least two different types of gasket available the one piece one has 4 square holes. There is also a two piece (so you need two of them) that have 2 round holes this is the type you need for the tubular manifolds

edit ePER list 3 types of gasket so there may be a one piece round holed one too

Ok so Ive tried but I cant get eper working! if anyone can and feels generous, please could you list the exhaust manifold gaskets for the seicento part numbers with a small description of the manifold gaskets.

Cheers

OK, Ive been able to use eper and have found the three gasket part numbers:

46404428
55197682
55199355

but it olny shows one generic picture for all three parts! ahhh! any ideas?

Cheers

You wouldnt happen to know where to get them from online? Ive sent an email to fluffy the impalier from clubcento. I just dont want to buy the wrong part again!

none. 1108 spi

Ive been to my local dealer and we have been through the book. The only 2 part exhaust manifold is the 1108spi but the ports on it are not circular, they are all rectangular. Ive ordered them anyhow.

Does anybody know where I could get a gasket made up if I wanted to port match the head to the manifold?

Rich

Does the gasket look like No 6..? Or is it the manifold to block one?

Yeah Im after a manifold to head gasket. Had a look at daves SS manifold but his is on a 1242 DOHC which has totally different ports than the SOHC. I do like the look of his wiring for the post cat lambda tho. I think Im gonna copy that if I can find the conectors he used.

If the 1242/8v exhaust gasket lines up ok on the head, then it's the right one as it's designed for that head and not the csc manifold.
You can cut your own from graphite sheet but you need the right tools (punches etc) as it's got s/steel inner.
