(G) 1.2 turbo engine complete, now the bodywork!!!

i have been rebuilding my cinq over the past year and doing alot of work to the engine! it's now a 1242 with the turbo off of the 1108 conversion we done as a test a blew up!! the 1242 has been completely stripped and rebuilt, low comp pistons running 8:1, polish and ported head,lightened valve train, flowed inlet manifold, fast road cam, lightened and balanced flywheel, balanced crank, and hopefully running a bar of boost when it's run in!!! he he! i was also going to put 13x10 ml's on but i couldn't find arches anywhere!!! but last week i found a mint 96 N black sporting with 60,000 miles tax and mot till march 2005 and paid £750 for it so i'm gonna switch the engines from the red one to this, and i don't have to worry about getting it through a mot for a year!!! he he. I have put a few pics togethe of the rebuild for u guys to see, hope u enjoy them? now starting to swap the engine over from the red one to the black one today and hopefully going in the bodyshop in the next month!!! i also put some pics on the cinq wiv the 13x10's on it, should give u guys a laugh!!!! but i didn't relise how wide they where!! they r for sale at the mo on ebay, but if anyone now anyone who want's them wen the auction has finished then contact me!!! have a look!!

i no mate!! i didn't really want to sell them but i have had so much trouble trying to find arches to take the wheels i've just given up!!!:( i still going with the euro look but on the black one i have, once i have swaped the engine from the red one!! i am lookin g at getting the hormann kit asap so i can get into the body shop to get a full respray!!

I was looking through the pics of your rebuild (Nice work by the way, we know who to ask for any problems now ;)) I spported something on ur dash. Wot have you got where the heating vents are in the centre of the dash? Can not make it out but does not look standard to me?

hi ya!! yeah that is my boost gauge!!, got rid of the centre blowers didn't really need them just blocked them off, more than enough heat comes out from the windscreen blowers and the side blowers!!!

lol! those wheels are mad! looking nice though! you shouldnt sell them and should keep them for the black cinq! can you actually turn with those wheels? lol

why not get a bodyshop to do some custom wider arches.. or get a wide arch kit for another car and make it fit heh

any coachworks type garage would be able to make up some simple wide mini style arches.
looks good anyway, how many days/weeks did the project take?
