| do I need a new oil pump?!! Hello all, have a possible problem with my Cinq sporting. It's done 77000 miles and drives beautifully with no untoward noises etc. Anyway, when starting from cold the oil light takes about three or four minutes to go out. Sometimes it flashes on and off until you've driven for about a mile or so. I've changed the oil and filter so that's not the problem. The oil light doesn't come back on once it's finally gone off -doesn't come on when the car's idling or if you switch off and then restart before the car gets cold. Question is, what should I try next, oil pressure switch maybe? Oil pump possibly? Or do i just live with it as after all it's not worth loads of money despite being in good all round order and being so much fun that my Saab has sat in the garage for the last three months without being used! Any suggestions welcomed! Simon
