| Wheel bearing and chips Hi What size socket will i need to change the rear wheel bearing?? need to do it tonight and may have to pick some tools up on the way home. Also, is a BBR starchip any good?? I am always a bit unsure about these things but there is one on ebay at the moment.

| mad bad and very very old | Nope. its bigger than that, back in a min, I'll nip outside and check. Ok, I'm back. I think its 26 as my 24 won't go on and my 27 won't go in the hole. I would try my 26 but as its missing it must be the one in the shed that I used to change mine last friday. Cheers D Grumpy old git going fast downhill rather than downhill fast!!

| I had mine superchipped, similar thing. Felt quicker and all the flatspots were gone afterwards. Pete. Links: 1242cc cinq, turbo cinq, Cinqs&Seis Yahoo group, Clubcento

| Cheers for the info but........... the one i got was a 30mm. Ordered the bearing from Fiat and they supplied it with a nut and washer, wouldnt have had a problem with that but the nut was £3.50 and the washer was £5.20. Took them so I could call at halfords and get the right socket. Will take them back monday. Bearing was £49, dear but I will keep the car genuine fiat for aslong as possible as it is virtually new compared to my usual cars. Easy to swap, got it done before the football started!
