(G) Lambo Doors

Any one no where i can get hinges for lambo doors on a sei?

dunno but DO IT! Ive wanted them for 5 years!

Pm a member by the name of Gazza2k (i think) he had lambo doors on his sei he will be able to give you some info on where to get them, but according to his project thread they are more trouble than they are worth

Gaz ended up ditching the idea.

Lambo doors belong on some lambos and nothing else. Fitting lambo style hinges to doors designed to open outwards never works really well.

dont buy cheap hinges that you see on ebay for like £350 there crap and weak and your door will fall off and not ligh up properly. get a set of lsd universal ones there not cheap however they are the nuts. i fitted a set to a mercedes a class and they were very strong. i think with the seicento there might be an issue with the space inside the wing because when the door moves out the bit on the hinge pushes on the wing so the hinges might need to be modified slightly.

The sei isn't exactly a solid chassis to begin with. I wouldn't be weakening it by removing the triangulation between the hinges and the door catch.

last time i seen that cinq it was all blue, looks different with the red.



do what you want with modifying, do it for the passion, normal is boring. be aware of the consequence's then weigh them up

Stiffen up the sills and the centre of the roof and put GT40 doors on?

want lambos then check out dutchsei's seicento thats beaut.

imo theres not ehough metal under the wings and when you open the doors out it bends the wing hence why mine has 2 new wings lol, theyd be fine for a week or 2 then it would move out of alignment and not close properly if at all or they would drop down. so gave up in the end and ditched the idea

that cinq has the B&Q mod on the doors using hinges lol

where u said your doors would move out of adjustment there is a simple way to fix that. a similar thing started happening on the a class i did. if you put a little spot weld on the adjustment thread when you have got the door perfect it will stay there perfectly and they never move out of alignment again. the a class has been perfect for a couple of years now

Please, please, please do not fit lambo doors...... If you really are content on doing it do it properly. I dont think there is anything worse then badly done 'chav' mods. Dont think i am taking the piss when i say chav mods i just dont like them and thats my opinion.

Those look like butterfly doors, slightly different (like in Ferrari Enzo, McMerc SLR etc.).
