i will seee how much it cost, a trottle from a 1.2 16v. i have tryed to make my standard trottle langer but failed because i cant get the valve out. totale dammaged the screws...

but this is very intresting, i've allready got a 271 cam and open exhaust...
can i put bigger injectors to? what size? (got a 1.1mpi sei) and do i need to put a larger fuelpomp to??

You would need a remap.

hello

i can get one from a fiat marea.
but isn't that an overkill for my seicento, because it's a lot bigger than a 1.2 16v tb and also one of a 1.1.

the holes to place it are the same, you cn place one of a 1.6 marea on a 1.2 16v, but wil it fit a 1.1? size will be huge ;)

You might avoid a lot of pain by simply using one of the newer super epoxies to glue the flange from the new TB to the end of the old one, after having opened out the hole.

This is what I plan to do to get a K Series TB to fit the Idea/Stilo 1.4 16v inlet manifold (lots of roughening up with a mini die grinder first).

why would you use the k series one ??

Guys, does this really worth? Will i have to Remap?

My Sei Mpi is slightly tuned right now with custom headers-exhaust,K&N filter and now i have a Novitec 998 Camshaft in my hands which i don't know if it's the same as Punto 866(Please let me know)...

If it does worth,i would like to have some detailed instructions and pictures of it ASAP!!!

Because of the way the plastic Mpi inlet manifold upper moulding is designed, you are restricted to about a 40/42mm TB if you make the hole bigger. You may get bigger if you remove the mounting flange completely and epoxy on another?
MF59 Mpi Ecu's do not like too much change from a standard setup. but the 6F? I know nothing of.

My Ecu is 6F.Do you know someone to have this done?I need some pics or detailed info...

I would also like to know if the Novitec 998 Camshaft is the same as the Punto 75-866 Camshaft.

Can you please answer to me???

Sorry for my english.

As I've said elsewhere, I can't see it being the same cam. Why would Novitec market something that could just be picked off a FIAT parts shelf?

I have no figures for the P75 cam, and the Internet isn't being very friendly. My guess is that you'll only discover the difference by mounting the cams in a head and measuring lift and duration. (You'll discover nothing useful by just measuring them out of the head.)

Novitec (as I've also suggested before) will be able to give you the details of their cam. You need to contact them anyway, as only they will be able to provide you with recommended valve clearances.

It may work -- whether it will work or not depends on whether the engine can use more air -- which is again dependent on a complex range of issues. Of course, it'll need more fuel, and generally modern ECUs will only compensate to around 10%, so a remap makes sense. You have no real alternative but to cut the mounting flange off a 16v inlet manifold and glue it onto the existing one.

None of this is rocket science. I don't know if that ECU is re-mappable -- the Poles may.

If it isn't the DET 3 is probably your easiest way forward. Or Megasquirt.

It has been a while since this thread has been active, but i have a question about this. I have read this thread and some more info, and thought i'd give it a go. So i ordered a 1.2 16v TB from the internet, and it doesn't fit. It is not the same as the one in the pictures of this thread. Here's a picture of what i got.

On further inspection, al 1.2 16v tb's i can find on the internet look like this one. Can somebody tell me where i'm going wrong with this?
