Hi again everyone,
Really need some help on this one, have looked at loads of posts on here, searched etc. And I have been out at the car tearing it apart trying things! :(

My heater blower isn't working and neither are my washer jets (neither front nor rear) heater doesn't work on full speed, and washer motors don't pump. I have power at the 20A fuse F14 in the fusebox which is for these, now i don't know what to try next. Possibly earth related :( as everything else works except these

EDIT - Just to add to this, the wipers work. So It isn't fuse related, must be earth/cabling, ideas where to look?

Any ideas people?

Thanks in advance

Isnt there a plug on the blower or is it one of those hidden jobbies fiats are renowned for? but then again try the washer motor first cos if its an earth problem (which as you said it most likely is) then it could be a common earth between the two in which case by tracing back you should hopefully solve the problemm.

it is a common earth (earth point E6 in the haynes manual) but other things also share this earth and they work, i believe E6 could be the wing earth behind the pass side headlight, this has a heavy cable to the engine block, and 2 smaller gauge wires coming off of it which run into the loom and through the bulkhead.

That would be the only thing to explain why some things ahring this earth point work? i.e. one of the smaller gauge wires is f#*ked??

Thanks again I'll take my meter out there now and check the plug on the washer motor, oh and yea i belive the blower is all encased and hard to get at everything :(

Thanks again, will report back shortly!

if you could check at the washer motor plug to see if you rare getting an earth then cool because it could possibly be a break in the wires from a short or something hope you get luck (y)

thats what i did, and checked the live and there was live getting there too when i pulled the washer stalk, so pushed it back on and the washers work again now must be bad wire(s) or dirty connections on the pump itself  although the back washer pump is intermittant, sometimes it will work sometimes it won't, have to keep pressing the switch. Could be the same thing, or could be switch related.

Still no luck with this heater blower though, remembered there is a plug under the dash for the heater, had all the wires on it. unplugged the 2 parts and was going to check for earth etc. and my meter stopped working, honestly, i can't believe it. I'm ordering a new one fairly soon anyways with temp measurement and all that, so i'll be back out at the cinq trying to solve the blower motor problem tomorrow with another meter from god knows where :bang:

thanks for the input so far, keep it coming! lol
