Induction kit

hey peeps,

im thinking of getting a induction kit for my seicento sporting but im not sure whether if i should go for k & n or go for novitec. but novitec arent got an induction kit but got an intake system. is an intake system better than an induction kit?? u get more hbp with intake system than u do wiv induction kit don't u!?

to buy k & n for my car is about £80 and novitec intake system is £120. so peeps wot u reckon? is novitec worth getting or should i just get k&n???

plz giv me all ur opinion please! thanx guys

I dnt think a K&N shud cost that much i paid £50 4 mine shop around a bit. Yes it does make a difference much better in mid gears in midrange revs plus it makes a great sound :D I would take a look at piper cross induction kits 2 i hear alot of good things about them wish i bought 1 now.

Hi,

my experience with the novitec piece.
Expensive, slightly more power, nice deep sound, street legal (here in germany), nice carbon look.

i got my K&N for £60, be sure you get the right one, coz the SPI engine has a differnet induction kit to the MPI one (SPI is pre 2001, MPI after 2001)

hmmm, tricky. There's no pic of the Sei intake system on Novitec's site
http://novitec.net/shop_n/catalog/de...f8de7c2827c122
but from the description I would suggest it's something along similar lines to my DIY one, where the filter is moved away from the carb. Their carbon air box idea can be copied for about a tenner with bits from B&Q though.(filter will be extra £30 odd)

K&N 57i kit can be had for £49 from www.larkspeed.com , I've fitted one to someone's Sei today as it happens. It comprises a filter which sits on the top of the carb, some pipework to sort out the breather arrangements, and a rather small cold air duct.

I suppose it boils down to how fancy you want it to look. The BHP difference between K&N and Novitec kits won't be very much.

Pete.
