for discs, use your old front ones.

cable, use the cinq one but modify it.

hoses, earls or goodridge. also local goodridge place might do them, hydraulics centre near me will custom make them.

mmmm great stuff!!!!

Ive managed to get hold of some punto GT rear calipers plus pads + disc's for £30!!!!! the discs are the same used on the punto gt are they ok?

the brackets mmmm well thats a diffrent story scottc1088 said he will sell me his since he does not need them now :D!!! so im just waiting for him to get back in contact with me to sort it out.

As for the hand brake cable im still having trouble to understanding it along with how to get hold of those flexi hoses and how they attach to the other flexi hose :S

hoses, earls or goodridge.

Earls are excellant, ive ordered some nitrous bits and a hose, there very helpfull and very quick delivery. highly recomend them(y)

As for the mounting brackets...PM T.E.D jorden (i think thats him) he'll make you some up,pricy for what they are tho imo:eek: But its either him or make some your self...which could go very wrong(n)

Does anyone know what the fitting sizes etc. on the steel braided hoses are? because ive managed to find someone who can do it for me.

Just to clarify & also to benefit others in the future, I'm currently about to get hoses made up, I know there are 2 options to go for:

Standard cento fitting @ tank end > Punto GT rear caliper @ caliper end & around 600-650mm long.

If you want to re-use existing hoses 'cos you already have "posh ones" like I plan to then you need to replace the solid pipe that normally fits to the drum.

I know I'll need the opposite fitting to the one used on the normal flexis where they normally meet the "solid hose to drum brake" section at one end *anyone know if this new fitting will be male or female as I can't get under my car at the moment*? & a normal right angled PGT rear caliper fitting on the other end.

I have seen a post that says the length of this hose will need to be around 300mm.

Can anyone confirm the fitting I'm not sure of as like I say I can't get under the car easily @ the moment, I will take a look myself if/when I can get under the car.

for what the extra 300mm of hose would cost, i would just bin the other hoses and replace it with a single length of hose. more connections = more places for it to leak.

i think i paid around £40 for my custom hoses, and a some new stainless fronts too.

I do know what you mean arc & you are correct, but looking at the arrangement I think that using the existing mounting point & keeping the join would be a good way of securing the hose on a decent route. They are pretty deep threads & my existing hoses are holding a seal perfectly well so I wouldn't expect there to be much of an issue about problems at the join?

I just managed to get some way under the car (parked on a kerb) & am pretty certain the solid pipe has a male fitting therefore the braided is female, & the end of the hose replacing the solid will need a male version of the cento fitting.

On my car when I did the conversion I already had the more expensive s/s fittings Goodridge hoses, so I got additional braided hoses made up to match up to these. I found in one way it was better as the hose was held in place at the normal section using the normal Fiat spring clip and therefore overall looked a bit neater than one long cable held in place with P clips or tie wraps.

fair point, it would make it neater.
