SEICENTO PROBLEMS

<font size="5"></font id="size5">HIYA PEOPLE I HAVE A SEICENTO S 1.1 ON A Y PLATE. THE PROBLEM IS IT WONT START SOMETIMES IN THE MORNING IT TAKES FROM 15 MIS TO 30 MINS. AND WHEN IT DOES SOMETIME ITS AS IF THERE IS NO POWER TO IT MAINLY IN 2ND AND 3RD CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP. IVE HEARD PEOPLE SAY THE FUEL PUMPS DIE. THE OTHER THING IS CAN I FIT THEY SPORTING REV COUNTER ON MY S PLZ HELP

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I'd suggest the water temp sensor for the ecu is shot, sounds like it thinks the engine is hot when it's cold and won't richen the mixture up - assuming it's ok when it's hot.

Other common failures are lambda sensor and map sensors.

First thing to do, if it hasn't been done already, is a thorough service - fuel filter, plugs and leads, air filter mainly.

ECU temp sensor is about £35.
MAP sensor about £60
Lambda sensor about £60

will this be easy to do myself or not?
i know the fuel filter wasnt replaced nor the leads its had ngk plugs on bout 4 months ago
the car has done 26000 miles. im havin a kan put on this weekend well im picking it up then

Temp sensor is fiddly, map and lambda easy. Plug leads dead simple as long as you do one at a time.

hey up agen. so wot would u say it was out of these 3? on thee service they didnt do they fuel filter nor they leads so do i replace the leads if so which one r the bes to get? i gonna get a set of them bosch super 4 or do i get Magnacor performance leads & platinum plugs? i nkow a bloke who will put it on a computer for me would that tell me wot is up wiv it. the car i ace when its hot no prolems at all its just in the morning whil its cold and from junctions it like there hardly any power the next minute there is. and then jerks like there no fuel one second the next there is

my m8 just foned who works 4 this cow boy who did this service and he fitted a ford air filter one on a fiat is that a problem or not. dont know why im worryin i got a gt turbo engine waiting to go in its jut the insurance company wont let me put it in b*stards. but there is alot of work involved i bet. i want some suspension fitted which is best i want to fit 15 alloys so how much can i drop it its havin they arches rolled this weekend aswell.
