Re: engine transplant:D

the 1.2 sporting engine won't fit easily.. that'd be a 1.2 16v engine

easy swap is the 1242 8v from a punto60. Whack a chip on it, 40mm TB and that'd be nippy. Or if you get bored of that, turbo kits can be had for them at around a grand.

Have a read of this: http://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento-seicento/22060-engine-swaps.html

PuntoGT engine isn't so easy. Uno turbo is a little easier, and Theresa has a cinq running one. Heres a thread with some info on her car:

Re: engine transplant:D

If money's not an issue, and thinking about a turbo cinq, you're really better off buying a fast car to start with. It'll be easier to insure and run.

Re: engine transplant:D

perhaps someone can write a HTML script that automatically prevents key words like

engine
conversion
transplant
bigger

from being used?

and refer automatically to the relevant sticky

or we could just ignore them!

the sad thing is there will be no standard unmolested Cinqs left soon

That is a very good point. I'm sure I'll eventually invest in a totally standard Cinq Sporting to keep the spirit alive!
