Rear brake lights problem

Hi all,

I've just bought a '97(R) Cinquecento Sporting and noticed this morning that the rear brake lights aren't working.

I was thinking it could be a simple thing like the bulbs but as they are both gone could it be the fuse? Where is the fuse box by the way? :)

I just want to cover everything before I check it out at home tonight.

Thanks in advance,
Ricky

Hi, and welcome to the Fiat Forum.

The fusebox is under the steering column, kinda between your knees when you're driving. Comforting thought should you have an electrical fire:I:D

Could also be the switch - this is mounted on the pedal box under the dash. Connect both wires from this together to check, the lights should go on.

If your fuse has gone, the reverse lights and clock should pack in too. I had this a few years back due to a bulb that was made badly and shorted internally!

Pete.

Ok great, thanks so much for the help.

From what you tell me, it could either be the switch or the bulbs, as the clock and reverse lights are working. If the switch has gone is it a bugger to replace?

Thanks again!

Don't think so, just a question of getting your head under the dash to get at it:)
