(T) Broken door handle

Can anyone help please?

Have a 95 Cinq Sporting that now has a broken door handle on the drivers side where some tried to open without using my key!

I need to replace or repair the handle, where do you start? It has central locking and I can still open it (when unlocked) by fiddling under the lifting piece but its just a pain in the RS.

Any thoughts before I nip to the scrappy to buy a replacement handle unit.

i think i might have door handles in my attic.... only thing u got to think about it, different door handles, different locks.

and i am not 100% sure u can take the lock out of the door handle either!

u might need a set, which would still mean u would need different keys for the handles and the ignition...

but i am sure someone will com correct me if i am wrong.

You can extract the locks from the handle, im sure of this. Your best bet is to invest in a Haynes Manual for your cinq, really is the best thing you can buy.

I had a mate with a punto 60 1.2, He is a very forgetful person (Stoner all the time) and had lost all of his keys YES, even the beurgandy one.. he sed he took out his lock off of his boot & gave it to our local fi-SHat dealers (i like fiats just not the dealerships & its 24 miles away) & they sent it off for his keys to be made up - not sure on the time it took or even the cost but shawly if they can do that for keys u can get a fiat one made up just rip the whole unit out & giz it Em.. But hey i'd never do that i'd just dismantel one u have & find one on Ebay.. theres a couple of cinqs being broke on there - look for an add with a teal coloured car ontop of a white van - around 100 quid.. hope i have helped...
