headlight bulbs

i need to replace mine, i want some brighter whiter ones as the ones i have make it scary driving in dark, especially with bonnet

took a trip to 'frauds and got lost in the bulb section, too many to choose from, i looked in there book and they list some, but i imagine they will be the same as the ones i got, which be no good

can anyone put me out my misery

thanks

Re: headlight bulbs

The ones that adamski is referring i don't think are all that good. Arc does/did have them. The colour of them is v pretty but the beam they cast is a bit poo.
The bulbs i have in mine are ace. No idea what they are, you would have to ask arc cos i bought em off him. You could if you wanted do what another friend of mine has done with his smart and put the frauds offroad bulbs in (about 100W iirc). They're not road legal and he has to drive with the adjusters pointed at the floor. But when out on the lanes with his full beams on its comparable with daylight.

Re: headlight bulbs

i brought some ice blue bulbs from local car modding shop. just make sure the H4 size, and road legal, and you can't go wrong. Mine are really white, just shame my sidelights are still yellow.

If you hop over to www.ultraleds.co.uk and have a look at the white sidelights for sale there. You want 501 wedge style. I bought some and they look very cool. Arc has some of them too.

Re: headlight bulbs

i got http://cgi1.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayIS...tem=7954740249 and http://cgi1.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayIS...tem=7954739964
because someone said they good, but they are a cleaner light but not a lot brighter, i usally use ring ultra xenon but they was loads of money for h7 but h4 are only £13 for 2.
ive tried loads of diffrent ones includung the rally 100w ones but the ring seem the best.
