(T) Engine mounts - this one dead?

I've always had a clunk noise from the front OS area of my car - i blamed the ARB bushes, but looking today i think the engine mount is trashed. But i dont know what one looks like when its ok, never mind broken.

Is this dead?

Erm, on the gearbox mount that went on mine, the rubber was hanging out, this looks fine to me.

nope.. but like i said i dunno what a dead one looks like!

I too have a clunk but I've swung on the engine and it doesn't move at all !!

Try gently bouncing the suspension turrets at the front, the top shock absorber bearing can knock sometimes.........seems to be reasonably common as I had to strip down two legs in the breakers before I found a good one.

its not that, i have a spax suspension psx kit fitted. having a look at the other thread now, cheers liam.

ah this might be the knock ive been experiencing!

gearbox mount was shot on mine. local mate did it for me
